The site for the building is approx. 7000mm x 5000m
The foundations are made up of pier foundations that consist of tyres that have had the walls packed solid with sub-soil and the centres filled with drainage gravel.
Due to the topography of our site in some places the piers are 2 or 3 tyres
deep depending on the ground conditions.
on the front facing aspect where the ground drops away considerably i decided it would be best to use 100mm x 100mm timber posts that are concreted in place...
